To create awareness among the communities and to check the preparedness of the district on how to effectively respond in the event of an earthquake, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Peren in collaboration with NSDMA, Home Department, DEF, NDRF and all stakeholders conducted a mock drill exercise at Jalukie town. The mock exercise was conducted simulating an earthquake scenario measuring 8.7 magnitude. The drill began with sounding of emergency siren by the Fire & Emergency Services personnel at 11:00 AM followed with briefing by the ADC of Jalukie. The exercise was carried in two schools namely St. Xavier School and ITM School.
