The NSDMA, Home Department held its Convergence Day on the 14th of April, 2023 at Hotel De Oriental Grand. The NSDMA Convergence Day is a platform for the NSDMA staff to discuss and share on progress of each division. It is also a day to reaffirm the commitment to the cause of disaster risk reduction.
During the welcome address Commissioner & Secretary, NSDMA, Shri Lhouchalie Viya, IAS, in his address welcome the new Advisor Shri Z. Nyusietho Nyuthe to NSDMA and look forward to his advice and guidance.
The Advisor while delivering his special message, encouraged the officers and staff to be well equipped with knowledge and take advantage in helping out and reaching out to the public.
The other highlights of the program were Keynote Address and Prelude to Convergence delivered by Shri Johnny Ruangmei, Joint Chief Executive Officer NSDMA. Presentation on DRR on infrastructure, road & port and GIS & Remote Sensing were presented by Er. Keneizhatuo Kuotsu and Dr. Noyingbeni Kikon respectively. The concluding remark of the convergence was delivered by Shri Thejangulie Zao, Assistant Manager, Project & Resources.
